Q: Can I use my bird seed packets?
A: No. Bird seed packets are not allowed by our camp site. we are ask that players make packets containing biodegradable airsoft pellets. The packets must still fit into a 35mm film canister and be loosely packed. We recommend 6mm (size) and .12g (weight) and about a 1/2 tbs in each. Player packets will be checked for safety at the events, along with weapon checks.
POLAR will be using automax for treasure distribution…. which means every player will automatically be automated at the end of the event. We feel this gives players more opportunities to roleplay and hang out instead of stuff quest.

The mission of the PA Organization of Live Action Role-Playing (POLAR) is to provide a social space that promotes creativity, entertainment, and the development of role-playing skills. POLAR will provide those in the greater Pittsburgh community, and beyond, the opportunity to participate in group performance activities that nurture the cultural pulse of the region. POLAR aims to provide teaching and guidance of skills through the construction of a pretend world, costumes, and tools. This organization has as its overall goal to inspire participants to express themselves in a safe environment through a shared, imaginative atmosphere.

Players banks… POLAR will honor banks in game but will not allow more than a 10 gold withdrawal. People can make in game purchases with their bank by marking on their character sheet with a signature.
In consideration of the fact that several NERO chapters near the Pittsburgh area have stopped operations (PRO in October 2018 and ARGO in September 2018) and NERO chapters had suspended operations due to COVID-19, the following policy is adopted:
Tags and effects that would expire after October 1, 2018 are being extended to December 31, 2023. This includes formal magic effects that, by the rulebook, should have a 4-year duration but are marked in the database as “Expires: Never”.

All transformed characters are subject to Monster card effects like Celestial PVE playtest. Paragon/Greater Race is not considered a “monster” They embody the traits of legendary heroes of their race but suffer the “monster card” effect for Celestial PVE Playtest
Do not ask Plot to “activate” your transform as modules will be written with them in mind or side Roleplay Spirit Quests will be handled privately.
Incidents involving only players
Adjudication will be granted if it is found that meta-gaming was involved or if the rulebook was not followed.
Incidents involving plot
Adjudication will be granted on the following grounds.
a) The event director did not follow the direction of the plot review or committee
b) The module director did not follow the direction of the event director
c) The NPCs did not follow the direction of the event or plot director.
Recognize that not following directions does not equate to cheating. Many times people get confused particularly in the middle of intense physical action or they are playing a card with a lot of effects they have never played before.
If it was found that the directions were not followed as a result of deliberate action then marshals will determine additional sanctions.
In-game results of adjudication
When adjudication results, we does not try to take back the results in-game. For example the death occurred in-game but character sheet will not be marked with the death. The items were found by the players in the room when the thief accidentally dropped them and so on
To offer a fair chance to any and all players POLAR’s official disciplinary policy will consist of a four-step process. All four steps will include being spoken to by no less than two members of staff so that you can state your case before a final decision is made.
The first step in this process is a simple conversation. We understand that there can often be misunderstandings. This conversation is put into place so that the staff can hear the player’s perspective of the events and discuss with the player the reason the conversation is being held.
