The History of Elysia, Wood Haven and Glavorn
This history of our lands has been prepared by Lady Willisa Entmoor who has volunteered to serve as the Historian of the Duchy. Any items of note, additions or corrections should be directed to her. She encourages all citizens to keep record of such things in order to preserve our heritage.

- Kerna, a local witch, meets with Jabby to warn of goblin unrest. 1/31/592 Kerna’s hut is destroyed by goblins.
- Duke Azeroth Dragonheart arrives at the frontier outpost in the company of a group of adventurers charged to tame the surrounding area and make fast the Duchy of Elysia.

First appearance of notorious mage Zipper who, in the company of a fighter named Dirk, charm the Duke and attempt to overrun the town. Dirk is killed and Zipper escapes. It is rumored that both were agents of Niman.

First recorded encounter with a creature called a Melf. Prized for its pelt which can be shorn without harm, these creatures have a paranoia spell to protect them from close approach.

The local name for the area. Death’s End, is selected as the name of the outpost. 2/10/592 Spring floods overrun Death’s End and the inhabitants are forced to seek higher ground.

- Citizens of Death’s End begin making their way to Glavorn. Kerna the witch declines to accompany them to Glavorn thus leaving the townspeople very short on healing craft. 2/28/592 A number of adventurers in the company of Duke Azeroth Dragonheart visit the Duchy of Ashbury. Duke Azeroth Dragonheart and the Duke of Ashbury. Aleric Dragonhart (a distant cousin to Azeroth Dragonheart) sign a treaty of mutual protection and trade. The mage Thermo is named Lord Chancelor to Duke Azeroth Dragonheart. The Ashbury Gulldes present complete sets of Celestial and Earth spell books to Lord Thermo and His Grace the Duke Azeroth Dragonheart,

A shipment of gold is pilfered in route through Glavorn. Baron Herbanion Sarossa Imprisons the couriers to stand trial for the loss of two bags of gold.

Faithful townspeople locate and return one of the bags. The other is never recovered. A local chemist loses control of his orc servants while using them in experiments with strength potions. Defenders of Glavorn are victorious in a battle with the empowered ores.
A band of men enhanced with magical spells attack the Healing Guilde shouting Greetings from Jipper. The Lord Baron Herbanion and Tady Willis Entemoor are struck down. Walter Dragonheart saves the life of gdy Willis and the Baron is saved by a life potion.
First recorded Incidence of an attack by the Daefonbeaste, an enormous, foul, winged creature that envelops its victims to deliver a paralysis sting and appears impervious to magical or physical weapons. Lord Ryldinmar Cryptinth is twice resurrected at the Healing Guilde.

Griff Anne. The perpetrators Insist the goblins were rabid. Baron Herbanion Sarossa reinstates the bounty on goblin cars.
Goblins form a new treaty with local ogres and attack Glavorn in broad daylight. This attack is successfully turned by the towns’ defenders.

Duke Azeroth Dragonheart and the Tord Chancelor Thermo travel with a group of citizens to Ravenholt in the Duchy of Ravenhurst. They are received with honors and meet with Duke Basil Ravenhurst. Expressions of mutual respect are exchanged and pubile disapproval is voiced over the practice of davery in Niman. No treaties were signed.

A medusa is found to have ravaged a small village outside of Glaworn and is defeated by valorous members of the town.
A mysterious spirit in a lake yields a magic whistle to determined adventurers. The whistle is found to have sinister properties making it unsuitable for use and is placed in to the hands of those able to dispose of it in the proper manner.
Lord Jalerak Hambrom accepts Osondrea Jamarantha as a Squire in the Knighthood. Lord Jalerak Hambrom promotes Squires Kale Stormblade and Xavier abragio to
full Knighthood.

More attacks of the Jaefonbeaste are reported. Rumors that some spells are able to
damage it circulate but detalls are not clear. Xavier ghragio is captured and stripped of his Knighthood by Tord Jalorek

The staff of resurrection is recovered and the dead restored to life.

Sheriff of Glavorn and the Barony of Wood Haven. Baron Herbanion Sarossa appoints the citizen Ranses to be Prosecuter of Criminals for
the town of Glavorn and the Barony of Wood Haven, Baron Herbanton Sarossa appoints Squire Mordrik the Half-Ore to be Puble
Defender of the Accused for the town of Glavorn and the Barony of Wood Haven, Adventurers working to tame the lands surrounding Glavorn face off with a werewolf
and his pack.

- First recorded appearance of the ‘Glumpf a mischievous creature who is full of practical jokes, is naturally skilled in the roguish arts and delights in suprising and confounding others.
- Many citizens of Glavorn are confounded by the Glumpfs trickery and caught in his traps. First sighting of gigantic bee-like creatures with an annoying loud buzz and dangerous sting. A citizen is known to have been carried off to their hive and was later rescued. Baron Herbanion Sarossa formally announces the annexing of Stonewood into his Barony of Wood Haven.
- Baron Herbanion Sarossa executes Miriya, a beautiful young woman. for the crime of waylaying the Baron.
- Citizens of Glavorn locate the 12 runes, and successfully follow the magical instructions to strengthen the rift and banish the evil one.

- Some of the lost citizens of Stonewood, trapped by the beasts return to the town. Many of their villagers do not return.
9/25/592
- Baron Herbanion Sarossa sends some citizens back to Glavorn to explain their absence and send word of the needs of Stonewood to the Duke. The wood carvings provided by the wood ‘masons’ using the special ‘stone’ wood in this region are highly prized by royalty. It is expected that relief for the village will be provided by the Duke.

- Baron Herbanion Sarossa sets out with remaining citizens to return to Glavorn.
10/30/592
- Baron Herbanion Sarossa and fellow travelers, still on the road to Glavorn on the eve of Halloween, turn to the old outpost of Death’s End for shelter.
- Lack of proper Jack O’Lanterns to keep free roving spirits at bay allows the valley to fill with spectres seeking humans hosts.
- A number of mummies terrorize the town and in their battles with these fearsome creatures a cursed medalion falls into the hands of Citizen Crawthorne. This medallion summons undead and soon all are fighting valorously against these fell creatures. At midnight, many adventurers touch freeroving spirits and discover this merges their spirits for a brief period of time. Some acquire skills and spells, others find treasure or work to provide a service for the misplaced ghost. Others run afoul of malevolent beings and wreak mayhem.
- Halloween day, a magician cames to town and trades a map for the cursed medallion.
- A brave contingent follow this map to a mummies’ tomb and there do battle most valorously against a fearsome spider, guardian statues and a greater mummy of huge power. They are successful and a great treasure recovered. Local Goblins reveal the true origin of the name of the area. Death’s End. The valley of Death’s End ends in a waterfall. Each year, during the day and night of Halloween. this waterfall has the magical ability to restore life, hence the name Death’s End. First recorded appearance of the Joll Troll’ under the bridges of the outpost. Beware.
- The mage who purchased the cursed medallion uses it to open a portal to recover his son and fell beasts enter. Townspeople battle gloriously against the beasts and are victorious though some have been made into undead.
Baron Herbanion Sarossa takes control of the undead in order to lead them to the end of the Valley for restoration. - Many receive a small portion of a scroll as a reward for allowing a spirit to have control of their bodies for a brief period. Such spirits name themselves Friends of Felix’.
- Townspeople complete the scroll shortly before midnight and find it to contain twelve riddles describing the path to some destination.
